Why it exists

Most of editing is finding the shot

Before a single cut is made, someone has to watch everything: which take is usable, where the speaker says the line, which drone shot holds for four seconds without shaking. That sorting is most of the work, and it is the same work every time.

AnimationPipeline does the sorting first. It watches and listens to every clip, so the footage becomes something you can search and describe. Then it applies the editing habits of a genre, such as a recap, a vlog, an interview or a music video, to build a first cut you can adjust instead of starting from an empty timeline.

How it works

Six steps from upload to render

  1. 1
    Upload

Add video, audio and stills. Each file is transcoded and analyzed in the background.

  2. 2
    Style

Write a brief in plain language, or pick a storyboard style to start from.

  3. 3
    Storyboard

Review the structure: the cards, their slots and the overlays on each.

  4. 4
    Clips

See the clips suggested from your footage and adjust where each one starts and ends.

  5. 5
    Match

Clips are scored against what each slot asks for, and you can swap any pick.

  6. 6
    Edit

Trim, reorder and retitle on a timeline, preview in the browser, then render.

The main parts

What does the work

The Asset Analyzer watches your footage for you

Every upload goes through vision tagging, transcription, scene and cut detection, and beat analysis for music. The result is a set of suggested clips, each with a description of what is in it and what it would be good for.

The analyzer is useful on its own: search a shoot by what happens in it instead of scrubbing through it.

Briefs in plain language

Describe the edit the way you would brief an editor: which clips, which transitions, what the title says. Anything the engine can't do is shown to you as a question, not quietly skipped.

Whip pan from clip a to clip b, then crossfade to clip c. Flash on every beat.

A library of editing conventions

Storyboards, transitions, overlays and audio rules are stored as reusable conventions, each with a live preview. Save a cut you like as a new style and use it on the next shoot.

A timeline you can still change

The first cut is a starting point. Drag segments to reorder them, trim them, swap a clip for another candidate, remove a segment or rewrite a title, and the cut recompiles as you go.

Your brand in every video

Set colors, logos and fonts once in the Brand Kit and they flow into every template. Connect a YouTube channel from the same page.
